The Utah Film Critics Association would like to address the strikes for both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA. The art of filmmaking falls on many shoulders, and no project would be complete without the tireless efforts of countless people. We believe that all individuals should be respected, compensated fairly, and recognized for their unique contributions and talents, and that these skills should not be at risk of being plagiarized by technology. As a unified Association, we proudly stand in solidarity with those on strike and fully support their demands for equitable treatment from the AMPTP. We wish the actors and writers the best and hope for a speedy and just resolution for them, their families, and loved ones.
