Salt Lake City, UT — The Utah Film Critics Association is pleased to announce its nominations recognizing outstanding achievement in filmmaking for the year 2025.
One Battle After Another led all films with 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Achievement in Directing for Paul Thomas Anderson, Best Screenplay, and recognition across multiple acting categories including two nods in Best Supporting Performance, Male for Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn.
Close behind was Sinners, which received 12 nominations including Best Picture, Best Achievement in Directing for Ryan Coogler, Best Lead Performance, Male for Michael B. Jordan, and Best Supporting Performance nominations for Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Mosaku, along with honors for Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography.
Hamnet rounded out the top three with eight nominations, joining One Battle After Another and Sinners in key categories such as Best Picture, Best Achievement in Directing, and multiple acting races.
Other notable contenders include F1, Frankenstein, and Sentimental Value, each earning five nominations.
Members of the Utah Film Critics Association will meet on January 17, 2026, to vote and determine the winners.
